About the trip

For people comfortable at grade 1 and 2 but looking to develop technical skills to safeguard themselves on grade 3.​​

Day 1:
Planning and preparation
Clothing, gloves and gear
Fundamental climbing skills
Tying in, belaying
Placing and removing gear
Movement coaching and climbing styles.

Day 2:
Complete a grade 2/3 scramble
Learn how to take coils
Discuss decision making around moving together and when to pitch
Building solid belays
Belaying direct, indirect, body belay and when each technique is appropriate
Descent from the crag - lowers & abseils

This course works best when booked for 2 people
