About the trip
A day out rock climbing will begin with a meet and greet in the morning where we will discuss the plan for the day and get to know each other. Please note you must organise your own transport. We will aim to finish the day at
17:00, please bring your own lunch.
Your guide will provide you with all essential PPE (personal protective equipment) such as helmets and harnesses and show you how to fit these correctly once at the crag. If you have any of your own kit, you are welcome to bring use it as long as your guide approves it. Your guide will have picked a climbing venue for you.
You'll learn essential rock climbing skills such as:
How to fit PPE properly and check one another before climbing
How to tie-in to a rope
How to belay your partner for top rope climbing
Learn basic skills to move your way up natural rock faces
Kit list, what you must bring:
Sensible cloths for the weather that day, a spare jacket never went a miss!
Sturdy footwear for walking to the crag and climbing in
Packed lunch, snacks and drink for the day
Sun cream or any medication you might require
