About the trip
The Lakes is famous for its scrambling terrain and hosts an array of mountaineering type days.
For more technical scrambling, some climbing skills and further technical gear is required. We run grade 1 scrambling on a 1:4 ratio. We run grade 2 and 3 scrambles on a 1:2 ratio.
This mean we will supply an instructor for every two people if we have the availability to do so.
Whether you wish to complete a one off day, or build knowledge towards a greater goal we would love to hear about your aspirations. Trust us to work alongside you, develop your skills and build a professional mountain partnership.
Examples of scrambling itineraries:
Grade 1:
Striding and Swirral Edge
Hall's Fell Ridge, Sharp Edge & Blencathra
Jack's Rake
Long Crag Buttress & The Bell
Grade 2
Langdale: Tarn Crag, Jacks Rake, Harrison Stickle
The Napes: Thread the Needle and Sphinx Ridge
Grade 3:
Pillar: Slab & Notch climb
Pinnacle Ridge
Corvus & Cam Crag Ridge
