Happiness Guarantee

We host the best local Guides with expert knowledge of their local area to lead your adventures. We also manually review all the Guides to ensure they’re insured, qualified and ready for adventure! We are so confident that you will have an amazing time, we have a happiness guarantee!

We think that a straightforward, common sense approach to adventure travel is best! No confusing rules, unclear policies or double negatives here. Our happiness guarantee is founded on honesty, trust and a fundamental desire to improve access to guided adventure.

How it works:

If you feel that your trip, Guide or experience has let you down, please send us an email titled ‘Happiness Guarantee’ to our founder, Tom, via the email address tom@guidebase.com

We will listen to what you have to say, collect all the details and then chat with the Guide to understand any problems and find out what went wrong.

If there was indeed a problem, and something went wrong that was the fault of either Guide Base or the Guide, we will work out a refund with you that is proportionate and reasonable to the scale of the problem.

To help us make the policy fair for everyone, we kindly ask that you try to address the issue with the Guide during the trip and provide them with the chance to fix the problem at the time. This makes it much easier to correct problems before they develop, and we will take this into consideration when investigating the complaint.
